I have just bought a Vodafone Pay as you go USB modem stick online direct from Vodafone. After installing the software I was faced with “RAS error code 619” this was because the preloaded software was out of date. As a result of searching these forums I found the solution and downloaded the latest full version of the software. All is now working well – thank you. What I would like to do is update the software on the stick. The files are read only and I have been unable to change the file attributes in order to replace them.

Does anyone now how to update the preloaded software on these sticks? (I know I could add a memory card to the stick to carry the updated software but I would prefer not to do that). Alternatively is there a way of permanently disabling drive so the out of date software doesn’t try and install on other PC’s? Hey there rorun!
