This post describes the steps required for the successful installation of MATLAB R2013a and above into a PC with Windows OS. System requirements: • 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) (preferably x64) processor dual-core 2.66GHz or faster • 2GB of RAM or higher • Windows 7 OS Software requirements: Download and install the software in the following order: • Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Express Edition (VC++) • Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows 7 with.NET Framework 4 (ISO) Before you install: Make sure you are logged in as the administrator of the PC you are working as the installation involves modification of the system registry which can only be done through the administrator account. MATLAB setup requirements: MATLAB R2013a or higher having MATLAB, Image Processing Toolbox, Image Acquisition Toolbox, Computer Vision Toolbox and DSP System Toolbox licenses (how to get this for free well you know your means:P) Installation procedure: Step-1: Load the ISO image or DVD which ever you have into the PC and run the installer setup.exe. The installer automatically detects whether the system is 32-bit or 64-bit and accordingly proceeds further. If you explicitly want to install a 32-bit version in a 64-bit OS due to project requirements then run the installer from /bin/win32. Step-2: From the MathWorks Installer window that opens select Install without using the Internet and click Next.
Step-3: In the License Agreement window select Yes and click Next. Step-4: From the File Installation Key window select I have the file installation key for my license.

Enter the key into the blank space (hope you have it from your sources:P) and click Next. Garuda puranam in tamil language. Note: The key shown below is just for demonstration purpose. Step-5: From the Installation Type window select Custom and click Next. Step-6: From the Folder Selection window specify the installation folder path and click Next.
It is recommended that you stick to the default. Step-7: From the Product Selection window select the products you want to install and click Next. Step-8: From the License Manager Configuration window select Configure the license manager as a service option and click Next.
Step-9: From the Confirmation window click Install. Step-10: The installation process starts with the following window displayed. Do not click on Cancel in between else you have to start from Step-1 again.
Step-11: After completing installation the MathWorks Software Activation window opens. Select Activate manually without the Internet and click Next. Step-12: From the Offline Activation browse for the full path of the licence.dat file (hope you have it from your sources:P) and click Next.
